Model United Nations 2014
Seventh grade was my first year participating in a Model UN conference. That being so, I needed to learn a lot about the Historical US Congress before jumping into it. My committee discussed the issues of Prohibition, the KKK, crime rates, and emigration in the 1920's. In the committee, there were representatives (delegates) from each state, mine being Montana. Because Montana was against Prohibition, I wrote a position paper to express that opinion. Find it here. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MINhzNfCVSVcpNTkyFjyohC2WSr1rEvaN-BrYVcsM0w/edit?usp=sharing
The part I enjoyed most about this project would likely be how professional and real it felt. I felt like the decisions I made impacted the entire room. It even felt good to make a good point every now and then!
